Lemme tell you something…

My brother Sean and I carrying Pop through the hospital and making it look like he's walking.

2008 – My brother Sean and I hoisting Pop through the hospital to make it look like he’s walking.

Say In Whispers

Heard my Father say in whispers
“Nothing stops the hands of time.”
Lay there in his final bedcheck
as he slowly lost his mind.

Dementia Demons freed at long last
No suppressing line of fire
Sucked into Parkinson’s vortex
An honest man will die a liar

Fight against the constant whither
Fight the deadly growth of weight
Shock your mind into behavior
Shock your body’s failing state

The best fun that we shared together
inflicting pain upon each other
building up a static charge then,

In a moment’s lucid wormhole
one last time to speak his mind
Desperately he grabbed at my hand
as the gears began to grind

“Rarely does the working builder
sail the very ship he made
You’re the design you were given
But you alone will sail the waves.”

Candle burning ever faster
as the flame flutters away
Grip is gone only an ember
Nothing more that he could say

Somewhere when I don’t remember
childish innocence became
raped and tattered ignorance of a
man who couldn’t play the game

Older still and doors are closing
kick them out with all your might
force the Mountain King to make room
or take his throne and claim his right

Most impressive are the ones who
make a mountain of their own
lonely though the Mountain king who
Cannot pass along the throne

Falls away or turns to grey
over soon before you know it
sitting still after the ending
Hanging on through scrolling credits

Hope the usher overlooks you
then light chases dark away
some are swept up before others
but no one ever gets to stay

Heard my father say in whispers
Heard my father say in whispers
Heard my father say in whispers

Nothing stops the hands of time-

  1. Its such as you learn my thoughts! You seem to
know so much about this, like you wrote the e-book in it or something.
I think that you simply can do with a few % to drive the message house a
bit, but other than that, this is great blog. A fantastic read.
    I’ll definitely be back.
