A Writer’s People
On his Facebook page, Writer Joseph Eastwood had this to say
“Only a writer… will hold conversations between people that don’t exist. We don’t talk to ourselves… we talk to the people we created from nothing.”
That’s how he does it. How do I do it?
I never create my people from nothing.
I create them from experiences I’ve had with the living and the (now) dead.
Remembering them, putting their flawed and broken pieces back together in my mind, I remake them.
During their re-creation they’ve made me laugh and they’ve brought tears to my eyes: to the point where I had to stop writing until the moment passed.
